Ottavia sind Auftritte mit Live-Kompositionen, wo Songs entstehen und in Echtzeit entwickelt werden.

Benannt nach einer der unsichtbaren Städte von Italo Calvino durchschreitet das Trio musikalische Gebiete aus einer Vielzahl von Genres und Stilen, immer unterschiedlich und abhängig von Ort und Moment. Jedes Konzert ist einzigartig, kann nicht wiederholt werden und liegt irgendwo an der Grenze zwischen bekannten Gebieten und neuen Wegen.

“Jetzt will ich euch sagen, wie Ottavia beschaffen ist, die Spinnennetz-Stadt. Da ist ein Abgrund zwischen zwei steilen Bergen: die Stadt liegt über der Leere, ist mit Tauen und Ketten und Stegen an den Bergkämmen festgemacht. (…) Über dem Abgrund schwebend ist das Leben der Einwohner Ottavias weniger unsicher als in anderen Städten. Sie wissen, dass das Netz nur eine Zeitlang hält.“ (Italo Calvino)

Ottavia is for instant composition performances where tunes are brought to light and developed in real time.

Called as one of Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities, the trio proposes travels in musical territories covering varieties of genres and atmospheres, depending on the moment and the place where they occur. Every concert is a unique and unrepeatable event, on the border between known territories and unknown paths.

“Now I will tell how Ottavia, the spider-web city, is made. There is a precipice between two steep mountains: the city is over the void, bound to the two crests with ropes and chains and catwalks .
