NicoNote aka Nicoletta Magalotti aus Rimini ist eine italienisch/österreichische Independent Künstlerin. In persönlicher und eigenwilliger Sprache verbindet sie Musik und Performance. Eine Annäherung an das Theater erfolgte bereits in sehr jungem Alter, Zusammenarbeiten mit Meister*innen wie Yoshi Oida, Gabriella Bartolomei und Woytek Krukowsky folgten. In den 80er Jahren war sie Lead-Sängerin der italienischen New Wave Band Violet Eves und spielte in Italien, Frankreich, Schweiz, Österreich und Griechenland (Le Printemps Bouges, Transmusilicales Rennes, La Cigale, Baindouches, Posthof Linz, U4 Wien, Tessalonnikki Biennale). NicoNote wirkt ebenso als DJ, Inventorin unkonventioneller Räume und kreierte mit DJ David Love Calò eine eigene Reihe in der italienischen Clubbing Szene der 90iger. Sie spielte international in verschiedenen Stücken von Romeo Castellucci, ging auf Tourneen und arbeitete unter der Regie von Patricia Allio, Maurizio Fiume, Francesco Micheli und Fabrizio Arcuri.
1997 enstand das Akronym NicoNote als Bühnenname und für ihr Team, aus dem 2010 NicoNote Dream Action wurde und das sich mit ihren Projekten hauptsächlich zwischen Frankreich und Italien bewegt. Sie präsentierte ihre Sound-Performance bei Fondation Cartier in der Soiree Nomades in Paris 2010. Alpha Dream (Cinedelic Rec / Audioglobe 2013), eine Mischung aus Elektronik und Blues, ist der Name ihres letzten Albums, das NicoNote zusammen mit dem französischen Produzenten Mikael Plunian (Shane Cough, Fatale) hervorbrachte. Im Jahr 2015 präsentierte sie mit Still the Butcher ein ortsspezifisches Konzert im Rahmen des Festivals der Regionen/Ebensee, Österreich.
Mit Unterstützung des Theaters La Fonderie aus Le Mans brachte NicoNote 2014 mit Emotional Cabaret eine Konzertreihe heraus, aus dem 2016 ein Album entstehen wird. Aktuell arbeitet sie mit dem Regisseur Romeo Castellucci an der Produktion der Orestie am Theatre de l’Odeon Paris für das Festival d’Automne und die Europa-Tour.

NicoNote aka Nicoletta Magalotti is an italian/austrian indipendent artist based in fellinian Rimini – she developed a personal language that links music and performance and creates a mobile and interdependent working team. She operates in multiple areas related to music , theater, installations and night- clubbing. Approaching theatre at a very young age, during the 80s she is the lead singer of the new wave italian band Violet Eves (Le Printemps Bouges, Transmusilicales Rennes, La Cigale, Baindouches, Posthof Linz, U4 Wien, Tessalonnikki Biennale).
In the 90s she starts inventing unconventional spaces, including the Morphine inside italian renowned Cocoricò club, that becomes a place of performative and musical experimentation and at the same time working as actress as well directed by Romeo Castellucci of Societas Raffaello Sanzio. After she worked also with the parisian director Patricia Allio, and Maurizio Fiume, Francesco Micheli, Fabrizio Arcuri and others. She presented her sound performance at Fondation Cartier Pour l’Art Contemporain in the Soiree Nomades in Paris in June 2010 and she’s invited in many international art and performing festivals in Europe and Italy. Her last album is composed with the french producer Mikael Plunian (Shane Cough, Fatale): ALPHABE DREAM (Cinedelic Rec/Audioglobe 2013) , a kind of electronics/blues with vocal research. In 2015 she presented in Austria a site specific concert called STILL the butcher project produced by Festival Der Regionen 2015/Ebensee.
Now she faces Emotional Cabaret a concert-suite, updates on april 2014 with the sustain of La Fonderìe of Le Mans (F) , will become an album in 2016. She is currently working again with director Romeo Castellucci, in the production of Oresteia, shooting the show after 20 years at the Theatre de l’Odeon Paris for Festival d’Automne and european tour.
