DESCRIPTION:  \n“Ihr schauts ja eh noch so jung aus!” Die Haut als Platzanweiserin. \nDie Veränderungen\, die mit dem Älterwerden einhergehen\, stehen in engem Zusammenhang mit Geschlecht und gesellschaftlichem Kontext. Sol Haring befasst sich mit der Wirkung\, die das Aussehen einer Person auf ein Gegenüber hat. Der Zustand der Haut und die Art des Outfits füllen Kategorien wie Alter\, Geschlecht und sozialen Status – meist wird das nicht reflektiert. Im Vortrag wird dargelegt\, wie Haut und Aussehen zu Platzanweiserinnen in der gesellschaftlichen Ordnung werden. \nSolveig Haring (AT) 
ist selbständige Forscherin (in den Bereichen Alters- und Geschlechterforschung und Bildungswissenschaften)\, Filmemacherin und Musikerin. In ihrer Forschung befasst sie sich mit dem Älterwerden in Zusammenhang mit den Themen Neue Medien\, Bildung und Kunst. Ihre bevorzugte Forschungsmethode ist die dokumentarische Darstellung in Form von Videofilmen. videography.mur.at & solways.mur.at \n\n  \n“Come on! You still look so young!!” Skin as an usher. \nCanging processes coming along with growing older are in a close correlation to sex/gender and the social context. Sol Haring has a focus on the effects of the human physical appearance of someone having on his*her counterpart. The condition of the skin and the kind of outfit form the categories age\, sex and social status – unquestioned most of the time.\nIn this lecture it is demonstrated how skin and appearance become main references for the societal system. \nSolveig Haring (AT) \nIs a self-employed and independent researcher (focussing on age and gender as well as educational research)\, a filmmaker and musician. Deals with the topic of age and aging in the context of new media\, education and art.
