SUMMARY:Roter Keil
DESCRIPTION:Den Kunstverein Roter Keil gibt es seit Sommer 2012; er ist in der Idlhofgasse situiert.\nDer Verein ist eine Ateliergemeinschaft mit im Moment 16 Mitgliedern\, die alle im Bereich der bildenden Kunst tätig sind und zusammen Ausstellungen\, wie die diesjährige „Kathedrale der Illusionen“ und Symposien veranstalten. \nEntstanden ist der Rote Keil als gemeinschaftliches Atelier mit Arbeitsplätzen\, die den Anforderungen entsprechend adaptiert werden. \nDie vorhandene Infrastruktur\, Werkzeuge und Kompetenzen in Bereichen wie Grafik\, Malerei\, Bildhauerei\, Goldschmiederei und Fotografie sind in ständigem Austausch und bilden das gemeinschaftliche Konzept. \nExtra für das Festival entwickelt der Rote Keil eine kollektive Installation\, ein Environment\, das seine diversen gedanklichen Bezüge zur Haut in ein simultanes Bild übersetzt. \nDarüber hinaus zeigt er ausgesuchte Arbeiten von einigen Mitgliedern:\nAkbar Brandner\, Christoph Thambauer\, Karin Goldgruber und Leon Podesser.\n \n  \nRoter Keil (Red Wedge) as an artist ́s assembly exists since summer 2012. It is located in Graz\,\nIdlhofgasse. The assembly is a community of 16 members currently sharing one atelier. All 16\nmembers do visual arts. Together they organize symposia and exhibitions like “Cathedral of\nIllusions” in 2013 \nRoter Keil was launched as an artistic working community. Workstations were individually adapted. The infrastructure\, tools and the know-how in graphics\, painting\, sculpting\, goldsmithing\, photography form a continuum of exchange\, and they are the basics of the community concept.\nEspecially for the festival Roter Keil develops a collective installation\, an environment\, that brings\nmultiple perspectives about skin into one picture. Moreover selected pieces of members will be\npresented:\nAkbar Brandner\, Christoph Thambauer\, Karin Goldgruber und Leon Podesser.\n\nChristoph Thambauer\nSchaufenster\, 2014\nEmphasizing the individuality of people in the ranking light\, which highlights the enevenness.\nCommunication becomes superficiality. The human being transforms into a symbol\, the interior\,\nconstantly exposed to the eyes and thought of others. \nKarin Goldgruber\nMuschi\, 2012 \nAkbar Brandner\no.T.\, 2013/ 2014\nDeveloped at the “Transformation” Stadt Symposium\, Eisenerz and at the “Transformation” Holz\nSymposium\, Leutschach. \nLeon Podesser\nCADAVRE EXQUIS 2 0 13 / 14\nThe title of this work “CADAVRE EXQUIS“ originally stems from the surrealistic arts. It signifies a\ngame\, in which a collection of words or images is collectively assembled. Each collaborator adds to a composition in sequence by being allowed to see only the end of what the previous person\ncontributed.
