DESCRIPTION: \nIna Sladić: This is not my piece\n\nIn ‘This is not my piece’ geht Ina Sladić der Frage nach\, auf welche Weise historische Performances heutzutage präsentiert werden können bzw. was bedeutet es überhaupt\, präsentierbar zu sein. \nDieses Stück wurde inspiriert von dem Stück ‘Art must be beautiful\, Artists must be beautiful’ von Marina Abramović\, welches 1975 beim Charlottenburg Art Festival in Kopenhagen aufgeführt wurde und sich auf die damals relevante Frage konzentrierte\, ob Kunst schön – entsprechend der damals gängigen Definition von Schönheit kleinbürgerlicher Salons – sein sollte oder ob sie stattdessen nicht auch eine kritische Position gegenüber der realen Gesellschaft\, die sich nicht um die klassische Festlegung von Schönheit kümmert\, einnehmen muss. Zu dieser Zeit führte die Kunstszene gerade die Ästhetik des Schmerzes\, des Hässlichen und des Schocks ein. 40 Jahre nach diesem und anderen Stücken\, welche die Position von Kunst in der Gesellschaft zum Thema machten\, scheint es\, dass nun andere\, dringlichere Fragestellungen die Kunst umschwirren. Denn heute machen sich Künstler*innen nicht so sehr Gedanken um die Schönheit\, sondern eher mehr um das Eigentum von Kunst. Obwohl vorhanden\, wagt es niemand von der Ästhetik des Besitzes zu sprechen.’This is not my piece’ wirft die Fragen nach dem Eigentum des Gedächtnis\, der künstlerischen Freiheit und der Besitzergreifung von Bildern auf. Ebenso wird ‘This is not my piece’ von der Arbeitsbeziehung in der darstellerischen und visuellen Kunst durch Kooperationen und Wiederaufführungen charakterisiert\, die Einfluss auf das Material\, den Text und die Struktur des finalen Stücks nehmen. \nIna Sladić (1986\, Zagreb) lebt in Deutschland und Kroatien und arbeitet mit zahlreichen Künstlern (Xavier Le Roy\, Marten Spangberg \, Marina Abramović\, Joan Jonas\, Simone Forti\, Mike Kelley\, Johannes Wieland\, Kainkollektiv\, vrum\, Isabelle Schad & Saša Božić\, Irena Mikec …) zusammen. Ina Sladić erforscht in ihren Arbeiten kontinuierlich die Phänomene der Popkultur\, soziale Netzwerke sowie die szenenorientierte Gesellschaft. \n\n\nIna Sladić – This is not my piece\n\n‘This is not my piece’ is a new work by Ina Sladić which reflects on ways in which historic performances could be presented today – and what presentable means. The work is inspired by the original work Art must be beautiful\, artist must be beautiful which was performed by Marina Abramović in 1975 at Charlottenburg Art Festival in Copenhagen and was in retrospect focusing on the then very relevant but simple and obvious question if art should be beautiful according to the definition of beauty formed in petit-bourgeois salons or if it should instead hold a critical position towards the reality of society and not care about the classical definitions of beauty. At that time\, the art scene was introducing aesthetic of pain\, aesthetic of the ugly\, aesthetic of shock. 40 years since that piece\, and many others that questioned the position of art in society\, it seems other pressing matters surround art. Today\, we as artists are not that much concerned about beauty in art – and rightly so. Today\, it is all about ownership. Nobody dared yet to call it aesthetic of ownership\, but it is here. So\, This is not my piece reflects on questions of ownership of memory\, of artistic freedom\, of possession of image. This is not my piece reflects also on young artist ́s development through works she did for other artists. The work is characterised by a working relationship in the world of visual and performance art through collaborations and re-performances\, which influence the material\, texture and structure of the final piece. Or is it product?Ina Sladić (1986\, Zagreb) works and lives between Germany and Croatia and collaborates with numerous artists (Xavier Le Roy\, Marten Spangberg\, Marina Abramović\, Joan Jonas\, Simone Forti\, Mike Kelley\, Johannes Wieland\, Kainkollektiv\, Vrum\, Isabelle Schad&Saša Božić\, Irena Mikec…).
