DESCRIPTION:  \nHaut\, Haar und Tuch. „Wir sind so wie wir sind“ \nMigrantInnen und MuslimInnen sind in unserer Gesellschaft mit Diskriminierung und Chancenungleichheit konfrontiert\, muslimische Frauen mit einer Mehrfachdiskriminierung: als Frau\, als Migrantin und als Muslimin. Der Blick auf sie ist gefärbt von Eurozentrismus und Rassismus. Sie werden in erster Linie als Fremde\, als „das Andere“\, als Opfer und Mangelwesen wahrgenommen\, um so Identitätsunsicherheiten von Menschen mit fehlendem Migrationshintergrund auszugleichen und als Schuldige für soziale Probleme in Europa dienen zu können.\nDiese Mehrfachdiskriminierung fordert einen spezifischen Handlungsbedarf. Studium der Wirtschaftsinformatik an der adventistischen Universität in Kigali/ Ruanda\, Bakk.- Studium der BWL\, Masterstudium Financial and Industrial Management an der KF-Uni Graz. War unter anderem Sachbearbeitererin für ausländische Studierende an der ÖH sowie Multiplikarorin beim Verein Omega im Rahmen des EU Projektes „Opening Doors“. Zurzeit tätig beim Verein SOMM (Selbstorganisation für Migrantinnen und Musliminnen) . \n  \nSkin\, hair und scarf\, “We are the way we are” \nIn our society migrants and Muslims are confronted with discrimination and unequality of opportunity\, and there is a multiplicity of discriminations especially against female Muslims: as a woman\, as a migrant and as a Muslim. The way they are looked at is biased through eurocentrism and racism. Predominately they are considered and seen as foreigners\, as “the other”\, as victims and as deficient beings to compensate insecurities in the identity of people without any experience of migration as well as to use them as scapegoats for social p\nroblems in Europe.\nThe multiplicity of discriminations urges specific activities.
